I found a set of 1993 LT1 Aluminum heads locally for sale for $175.00/pair...I try to rebuild before I buy new if possible...but I like looking for parts as much as buying them.

I'd stay away from LT1's if you are not running them on a LT1. They are reverse flow cooling heads, and require welding up some of the coolant passages, drilling new ones where there isn't and resurfacing the head. Then you will need a LT1 specific intake. Not really worth it IMHO and the cost of the machine work would be nearly as much as a decent set of Vortecs, and you would have many more intake choices. The Vortecs flow much better as well. The only really advantage the LT1 head has is that they are aluminum.
