Yeah swapping cams is pretty easy you just remove the intake, valve covers, rocker arms, pushrods, and lifters, then you go to the bottom end loosen up the pan bolts pull the timing cover off, pull the big timing gear and chain off, put the timing gear back on without the chain put a bolt in it and remove the cam.
then do everything in the reverse order and make sure and use new gaskets, grey silicone (permatex preffered ), new lifters, and timing chain. You can remove the bottom timing gear with a 3 jaw puller. oh and on the rubber end gaskets on the intake, throw those away and just use a thick bead of silicone.
and while your doing the cam swap you might as well swap rockers for some roller tips as above mentioned
you can pick up a set of stamped steel ones at jegs for like 90 bucks
