If this is not going to be a hard core bog truck that you are going to play with for hours upon hours, don't be afraid to get a big stall without a dedicated cooling system. Just put a gauge on the outlet line to the trans cooler and be mindful of that.
I am trying a new of converter this time around in my truck. It is a 3000 stall boss hog. The 4500 converter went back in the camaro.
