Re: “Castro” my new 72 build

I have never gotten this vintage air system to work right. I talked to the tech department several times but I was also dealing with leaks. I found a leak coming from the evaporator area using a sniffer. Anyway I didn't want to deal with it anymore so I bought another unit and we will see if we can locate the leak in the old one. We are going to use it in my brother's truck once fixed. I also got rid of the A6 style compressor and put the recommended Sanden on it along with their brackets. I bought one with the rear outlets because I don't like the look of the top outlets that come in the kits. This fixed it, the system is awesome now, no leaks and is cold and not freezing up. Plus I love the way the compressor setup looks now. I have room to get the valve cover off and have better spark plug access.
