Re: Resurrection of a Family Friend

In the springtime, the 73 2wd will be going bye bye. We have no desire to keep it collecting dust in the back of the barn.

So today I had a friend help me install new U Joints in the front driveline I picked up. Wholly cow was it dirty. Most likely never had the joints replaced, and was never cleaned. The CV thing at the T-case end once cleaned showed it was made by Spicer. Pretty cool, I didnt know that.

Also got the tank dropped this weekend, blew the line out that runs up to the pump, and with fresh gas the truck now starts and runs from its own fuel tank. Too bad the carb has a stuck float or accelerator pump-gas spews out all over the place while running. Maybe this coming weekend I'll have time to tear it apart. Then I can begin reworking the braking system and FINALLY have a driver!
