Fat Mike,
When I bouhgt the truck it was said it had a MII front suspension with tube arms and 5 lug conversion. When I arrived at the sellers house he showed me the body and frame. The frame was short and narrow. I pulled a tape measure and noticed it was only about 29" out side of frame rail to out side frame rail. I already knew the factory frame was closer to 34". I asked about the narrow frame and he told me the frame was built for a 66' volkswagon bug. He was going to make it front engine/rear drive but gave up and decided to build a truck. Thats why I had to widen the crossmember. I have since began a new chassis that has the front geometery of a second gen camaro (70-81). Ill post pics as soon as I get the chassis squared away.
