A buddy of mine just shared this with me...


a coil will keep charging to a higher and higher Kv till it can over come whatever the total resistance is....(so there is no voltage drop)

when volts goes up...amps goes down so the actual spark "kernel" will be a tiny tiny bit less "robust"....

I'm 95%+ sure you will not have any problems or performance loss...use a good quality spiral wound wire of about 1,000ohms per ft or less

if you do detect a misfire.....close the plug gap by just .001 (ex:.045 to .044 would be from about 18Kv down to 17Kv typically).... so the coil will have to build to a lot less Kv with less gap... than.... the longer higher resistance coil wire added
