Look what I found today on an old nasty 72 GMC 3\4T truck sitting in a yard next to hwy167 south of Seattle...I just bid $350 for the last set on Ebay and did NOT get them! I did get these for considerably less. I had to root around in the dirt to get these off, but finally got my hands on a pair.
I don't know what the fascination is with these tow hooks, either, but I wanted in on it. You always want what you can't have, I guess. I actually like the looks of the 69-72 hooks better, because they are better balanced. These look like they just stuck two left handers on both sides.
They were listed on the glovebox, but I didn't get the number. I didn't want the owner to think he had something special and jack up the price. I noticed and took pics of the mounting holes...one side is mounted higher than the other, probably because one hook points in toward the frame rail and the other away from it. Part of that, "two lefts make a right" thing, I suppose.
