Re: My 42 Project

Time fly's by and other projects get in the way, and now its time to fix some problems. The carb 1404 keeps draining so I thought. I pulled the top of the carb off and sure enough the carb was almost empty. Did some research and found out that fuel in California evaporates and boils at 180 degrees. Since this engine runs about 195 to 200 means it was boiling out after being turned off. I installed a insulator under the carb and that should take care of that. The next problem is, as I was reading that I might have too much pressure at the carb because of the after market fuel pump. So I put in a fuel regulator. I opened it all the way and it showed 2 lbs of pressure. Gezzz. So I am changing the fuel pump today and see what happens. I also have been working on the headliner. What a pain in the ass a two piece headliner is. Any tips let me know. Thanks
