The 'spacers' in the OP's opening post are adapters. They are fine since they utilize the original studs to seat & secure them. New studs in the adapter are used to seat the actual wheel. Basically the same as an aluminum wheel w/an extra thick mounting pad or a vehicle w/a wider track width.
