That basically looks like what you have. There has to be a way to adjust what you have but I just don't know how to do it. Maybe if you disconnected the bolt at the Heim joint, put the trans in park manually, and had someone hold the shift lever in the park position then screw the Heim end up or down until the bolt went in easily it would align it. It would be worth a try any way. Just make sure you block the wheels before you start.
