I went another direction and got an electronic vacuum pump instead - works like a champ and gives me a solid brake pedal all the time.
I turn the key and it fires up for about 5 seconds when I start the truck and then only kicks in during driving when it notices that the vacuum is low.
Pretty slick.
Pump rests on the core support so it is out of the way in the engine bay.
I need to get you guys some updated pix since I got the different rims/exhaust on this thing.
