I tell it like this: I've never felt a lack of torque. So if a stock 305 can give me enough torque, a built 350 with better top should give me enough torque too. And its worked out that way every time. We aren't talking top end biased powerbands, but the stock powerband is severely restricted.

As for OEM heads and torque, yes they have small ports for higher velocity, but so do aftermarkets and vortecs with significantly higher flow rates, giving you both low end torque and higher end HP. There is nothing good about oem heads besides vortecs, plain and simple.
