I have heard that "urban legend" for years. I have put these on 60-66's and 67-72's, automatics, 3 on the tree and manual shift in the floor, 2x4, 4x4, engine in 6yl holes, engine in V8 holes, 4x4,s 2x4's, trucks, Blazers, Suburbans, 1/2 tons, 3/4 tons, and 1 tons and I have NEVER had an issue.

In the past 60 days we have done a set on a 66 with a floor shifter and a 67-72 with the V8/auto in the correct holes.
