I did rebuild the motor in my toyota myself. The truck sat in my shop for a year before I started on it so I wasn't going to get in a hurry. It does give you a good feeling to ride around on a truck knowing you put the motor together yourself.

Best of both worlds: I built an L31 Vortec for my Blazer. Building it allowed me to customize it, and I have the benefits of a roller cam, Vortec heads, and a 1 piece rear main seal.
