Buff paint out and clean it up
I bet it's worth between 7-9k

Do all the work you just described will cost you as much as the truck is worth
(or more)
And the truck will be worth 15k if your lucky
Those are round numbers, just speculation
But for all the effort you will put
I think you are better off selling before restoring it
They are only original once!!!
And many people look for that.
It is pretty desirable with buckets, too😀
