I'm an old Mopar guy so this might be totally useless information, but after a rebuild on any of the three or four speed rear wheel drive Mopar transmissions you started by letting the engine idle with the transmission in neutral, not park. You let it run for a while, cycle it through the gears, and then check per the instructions that were printed on the tranny dipstick. Good luck with it and I hope the solution is a simple one.
