I purchased a copper/brass heater from npdlink.com based on lots of comments about the aluminum cores not fitting. I purchased a heater box seal set from GMC Paul's and glued the round seal and air box seal to the air box with weatherstrip adhesive.

I got lucky with mine. The truck was all apart when I got it and had 3 cores and housings
in the boxes. One tested good and was an easy install with the whole front end off the truck. I hope I never have to go back in there.
