It’s 7.5/7.625”. A 88 will have drum brakes. A 98 will have disc brakes.
The 8.5/8.625” came equipped on 4.3 5 speed equipped s10 an blazers. They also came on all ZR2 models. The axle tubes are necked down and very easy to identify.
