Thanks. My first hurdle is the starter. It was all goofed up and would only hit the flywheel for a bit then "zinng". Its a SBC so I figured easy to shim...not so much. Then new starter....however the problem isn't up or down (for shims) it needs to move towards the motor. Gap from the starter armature shaft to the flywheel is about a 1/16+ wider than it should be. Flywheel is 168 tooth. I gotta figure this out first, then it might run.
