DMV guy came by and gave us the green light to proceed!
He put a couple of tags on the chassis and cab, so that when we make the changes and bring it to the DMV for re-certification, they can see all the original parts are still there.
he also gave us a good advice, because they're allergic for engine swaps, especially if the new engine is completely different...lets say 261 straight six turns into V8 diesel. So he said first get the chassis certified and thén swap the engine.
we also decided we'll bring the rear axle forward, instead of cutting a piece out of the frame for structural integrity.
