Try locking it from the inside, if your inside lock goes up and down without
pulling the door in then it will work.

Sometimes these old trucks, the hinges might be sagging a little, or the door
might be tweaked, or installed new rubber in the door might cause this.

It always a good idea to oil the door latch inside the door as these get rusted over the years.
