Just kiddin' could be 3 things 1) loose- not tensioned properly 2) worn out or 3) routing - not touching at high enough angle to really grab the belt (not as common). Give us a pic of the belt and pulleys. And when it screams at you...start up, only whens its cold, turning hard...? Others will chime in and give their advice.
