cool project---ditch the old motor assembly and slip in a flat modern 8" spal assembly--like half of a modern radiator two fan kit.
I lkes them ole 250's -- the 292 is a hawg, yesterday I tried to get an ole buddy to swap his locked up gmc 270 for spare stuff I had.
I also like 181 merc's (mercruiser 4 cyls)
