Re: Putting a 700R4 in a 68 what column do I need?

I did the same swap on mine. Just changed the 3 on the tree column for a used auto column I found for sale. I had to get a new crossmember for the the tranny, and shift linkage. For the crossmemeber I went with ISF fab it was a good price and I was happy with it. With the shift linkage I went with Lokar. I would recommend buying stuff for your 700R4 from bowtieoverdrives.com. Those guys are great, just tell them what your plan is and they'll point you in the right direction for parts for the TV cable and plate ect. You will also probably need to get the drive shaft shortened, they have a diagram on their website that shows you how to correctly measure for the cut.
