No. Understand these are NOT the same A-833 that came behind the Hemi and 440! They have had the gears swapped to get the overdrive, and subsequently the torque capability is greatly reduced, particularly with the aluminum case. GM never put them behind big blocks, or even 350's, for a perfectly good reason. They are not and never will be a race trans. Will they live for a while? Sure, but so will a Saginaw. If you drive nice they wil give good service. But if you beat on it with big HP it's a goner.
If you want to run serious torque sell it and get a better trans. They go for $250-400 with shifter and bell, which will get you a good start on a trans capable of your power.
