If you are going to completely redo one from the ground up, it is easy enough to put 71-72 axles under an older one, if you can get the parts reasonable. I like the 67-68's best, and knowing what I know now, would have rather bought a 68 and added the 71 or 72 components to it. If I were not rebuilding it completely, and wanted to drive and fix it up over time, I would DEFINITELY get a 71-72 because of the disc brakes/power brakes and five lug axles.
