Manual trans gets flywheel, automatics get flex plates, and yes they both carry the starter ring gear.
Rock Auto will sell you a 292 flex plate, be aware they only fit 292. 250 plates are NOT compatible.
86 did not come with 4l80E so you already have a mix. If it is an early version then the converter is TH400 compatible and you 'should' be ok with a 292/TH400 flex plate. If later all bets are off, get the 400 plate and start measuring. Are you sure it's and 80 and not a 400?

Motor stands on the frame - if you find a set send them to me. I have never seen the 292 4wd combo in person. 250 4wd versions are rare enough that I plan to make my own, and I don't know if 292 versions interchange with them. I believe they are not directly interchangeable with 2wd stands. And each frame package has its own unique height and thickness.
