292 flex plates are unique at the crank pattern. The 6.5 flex plate will not work. Three of the converter bolts 'should' line up since the trans works on the TH400 pattern.

As noted, 72 and earlier manual trans motors had starters bolted to bell housing. All others should have starter hoes drilled in block. Be sure to get eh correct starter for the flex plate, most likely one for the 'large' ring gear.

There is an ebay seller who offers accessory mount sets for a 292, with PS and AC options.
