calendar year would be the start of the 1986
model year. The new models typically come out in the September-ish timeframe.
A relatively early build, apparently. VINs start at 100001 and yours is in the 113,000 range.
My truck was built a year later (almost to the day) in Flint Michigan. Built on Sept 29, 1986 (1987 model) and they had already built more than 317,000 units in Flint.
