I call non-show, non shiny, no bling, everyday drivers "beaters"...
The "rat rod" term doesnt make me mad either but I think they actually call them "traditional hot rods", which I dont think is correct either. Its sort of like with motorcycles, "chopper" & "bobber" are a little tricky anymore too...
