How many pins are there in the VB connector? The yellow one behind the gear selector and throttle valve levers. If it is 3 it is a RH. If 7 or 8 it's an RE. If it has 2, it's an A518. It looks like a RH to me by the looks of the OD housing and levers.

Are you dead set on a 5 speed? That trans would be perfect for great mileage and easier to fit in a slammed truck too compared to a NV4500.

Hopefully the line you're speaking of that is blowing back on the trans is not the breather/blow by tube. The top of the trans sure looks dry and clean....
