Well I just got in from checking out my 77 and found some interesting stuff. It has the air heater valve off of the exhaust manifold but no egr valve. My dad said it stated the GVW on the door sticker to be 6200 pounds. I am gonna double check it tomorrow but if this is the case that would make me cat exempt.

You are cat exempt, checked my GM parts book and for a 77 K-10 with 305 or 350, no cats are listed.
