I had a 307 wear the fiber timing gear out. I had a new dbl roller for it looking for time to install when it jumped. Ended up with bent valves, 120k on the motor. That's the one I rebuilt. Minimal machining required. The crank was micro-polish ready, no cylinder ridge, and they only needed a light hone for hatch marks. Everyone was impressed with how little wear that engine showed.
