SUCCESS!!!

At least as far as the stalling issue. Still some popping from the exhaust on compression braking. Eventually I'll have to get the car into a tuner to get it optimised.

I replaced my leaky coolant fitting and it's holding for the moment too.

Here's a list of things that still need sorted out:

*Now I need to get the VSS to the dakota digital gauges since I disconnected it to go to the engine ECU
*Find a gauge lighting power wire, the one I thought it was doesn't work
*Narrow the rear end a bit to tuck the tires better
*Bump stops on the rear end to keep the tires from rubbing the body
*Transmission leak
*Coolant overflow tank install
*Wheel alignment, getting uneven wear on the front tires
*Bodywork, paint and interior, eventually
