One of the best things I've done for this project is to create a "man cave" room in the garage directly behind the truck. That way I can look at it while I watch football or listen to music after the kids are in bed. It's very motivating. (The first picture is my son sitting in said man cave on the trucks original bench (yes that's the original cover too) that now doubles as a couch).

Let's talk engine some more... Below are the two links that together represent the engine I'll be building for the truck:

(I'm looking at the "Medium" option in this article.)

I'm leaning towards the second option for several reasons. One being the option of numerous shifter mount locations.
