Re: 1971 Stepside LS Build
A little update. Went to Classic Parts in KC on Saturday and picked up a new door. I was pretty nervous about spending that much only to find it wasn't going to fit that well. From what I've read here the reproduction doors are terrible. Maybe I got lucky, but this door is as heavy and solid as the original and fits very well. These shots are after about 10 minutes of adjusting. It isn't perfect, but it is as close to an OEM fit as the door I had. The weld at the top needs some work, but otherwise I am very impressed with the Tri-Plus metal.
The best part of the trip was meeting beaterku and getting to go for a ride in his truck!!

1971 C10 Stepside. LSx 6.0 with BTR Stage IV, Speed Engineering Headers, 4L80e transmission w/3200 Circle-D Stall. 3.73. Posi. Purchased this truck when I was 17. I started the rebuild (or take apart) in 1993. I have drug it around all over the country in pieces. Finally back on the road in 2021.
