I not sure but I think you are talking about a fleetside bed. I'm just in the process of doing the tank relocation on my step side, but plan on installing the filler on the inside of the box. Mine will come out behind the fender, but the step side is more easily accessible than a fleetside as there is only one piece of metal to go through.
