I have the same problem with my soft topper. The center bow ( which amounts to the rear pivot point ) does not clear my roll bar. So, I typically have the top on all the time. I did not like that the side panels always had to be rolled up. So I found a canvas guy to take the side panels off and put zippers on them to remove them. Turned out pretty well. I have the rear panel and the two side panels rolled up and have them stored under the rear seat just in case :-).
