In general, tbi/efi systems do have an advantage in this arena. More options for disabling ignition/start of motor. Even a real smart thief likely couldn't start mine when I've "enabled" my counter-measures ( MSD Atomic as well ).
Walking away with the Atomic unit in hand, well, that is a good idea.
