in the 80's when 3rd gen t/a's were very high theft..
mine was you had to push the speedo, "trip" counter reset button and turn key..

My s-10 you had to turn on the radio.. that was wired unswitched power.. and the power antenna trigger lead powered a relay.. and it start.. radio off. no start..

My chevelle, you had to close the ash tray..
