I was watching a Youtube Video from USA1. They say there is a basic seat and an premium seat. The basic came in the lower trims (Custom Deluxe) and the springs under the foam curve upwards thus requiring a thinner foam pad. Is this true and does that cause the seat to be "bouncier?"

My 86K20 is a Custom Deluxe and it rides like a buggy. The lower foam pad that USA1 sells doesn't seem to say if its one version or the other.

Regarding seatbelts. They sell the 3 point kits but without the plastic cover for the retractor. Do you know if my OEM covers fit their retractor mechanisms?

Thanks!
First off, when they talk about the basic seat, thats the Poor Mans Seat. That’s the one with the thin layer of foam. The Premium Seat is the full foam seat. This only goes for the 73-80 seats.
Totally different frame and foam on the 81-87, and there is only one foam. There is no basic or premium. Like I said above, they were referring to the 73-80 seats only. If you have an 86, its only the one foam, and it’s full foam. Just make sure your seat is actually an 81-87 seat or a 73-80. Trust me, people assume their seat is correct for the year of their truck. But at anytime, someone could have swapped the seat.
Easiest way to tell, the 81-87 seat has the holes in the seat for the seatbelts that come up thru the foam. The seat adjuster is in the front of the seat.
The 73-80, the adjuster is on the left side of the seat.

And as far as the aftermarket seatbelts, stay away from them. And no they won’t fit in your casing. They aren’t even dual retractors, they are only one. So they don’t work very well.
