If you want to keep things stock and use your blazer as a daily driver, wanting it to look original, I'd say you have two option's.
1) buy a factory replacement set of torsion boxes as pictured above.
2) fab up and support the tub in some other manner but keep it within the stock area using tubing or similar.
Option 1 would be the easiest IMO.

OR...if it's a wheeler kind of ride, you could do some basic support above the floor.
Another way would be to build a cage and tie the tub into that for structured support.

These pics are of my off road blazer, torsion boxes were long gone when I got it and I was going for maximum clearance.
I completely cut out everything, including the rocker boxes but still had to support the firewall, here's what I did.
