The motor, IMO, needs to have an Edelbrock Victor Jr. Single Plane Airgap manifold with a mild Holley 750. With what little we know about the motor, I believe that combination would help wake that motor up.
Well if you go with a single plane intake it will literally kill your low end torque. But if thats what the RPM range of the came is then it may help just will loose a lot of low end power.

Just IMO.
