My switches cost under $10 so its cheap, easy and clean. it just does not look factory. i generally put the switches very low on the driver side of the dash to semi-hide them but they are still reachable when driving. They can be put inside the center console too but not a reachable. Depending on what factory switch/column you use, the switching logic can be backwards. i.e. pressing the button opens the circuit rather than closing the circuit to apply 12 volts to the TACC. There is a huge writeup on this forum talking about how to use a relay to change the voltage(logic levels) for a mid-80's square body column.
