FWIW, I can't imagine driving a truck with 4 wheel drums anymore. I've had disc brakes on my 68 since 1 year after I bought it(20 year ago). I drove a friend's 67 a few weeks ago and was appalled at how bad the braking was with the stock drum brakes!!
True. Dropped spindles = disc brake swap. One must use wheels that are disc-brake spec'd or possibly run a spacer for clearance.
