Hydraboost is a lot more expensive. I run it on my rig but only because my cam doesn't pull enough vacuum to run a booster.
To Par's question about how much better this would be over the stock half ton system - the 1 ton master allows you to create more pressure at the calipers. This often creates a stiffer pedal but when combined with the dual diaphragm 1 on booster as well the added brake boost should mitigate that.
I think it likely isn't necessary on a stock rig. But if you'd got larger tires or a hopped up engine adding braking power is a must.
