i would stick with the 241 that came stock in the burb. unless there is some overwhelming concern with smacking the case on a rock. as far as strength goes, it has plenty. the aluminum cases dont like impact though. and it will be easy to make work with the 4l80.

if you have the budget, go with the better trans.

i would re consider a high stall. they are generally a pain in the b-hole for anything less than a dragster. i have a hughes converter in my old clunker and it has been great. not many miles since it went in, but so far so good.
