Currently, I have the stripped down cluster fastened to the wiring harness that goes over the steering column with a pair of nylon zip ties at the bottom. I'll get some pics of the steering column mounting for you.
As for the ECM, I didn't touch anything. The plan was to unplug everything, swap it over, and then plug it all back in, and that's what I did. I disabled the airbag system, and didn't use the ABS module. The airbag light and ABS light are on in the dash, but that's it.
