I bought a kit to not have to cut wires,soldered to another stock GM radio
the plugs are keyed to prevent mixing
just be sure the dimmer wire and the illumination wires are correct
the latter needs power when the lights are on,i did parking being it was brown
watch that illumination plug there are a couple of types,i had to change the wires to the right plug
